Minimum Education Requirements: High school Diploma or GED Cleans transport equipment between each patient use.Purposeful Encounters (if patient is asking for something, call the HUC by using the patient’s land line phone let she/he know what the patient needs are).Reports faulty equipment immediately and in accordance with Hospital Policy.Reports any untoward or unusual occurrences to nurse.Reports unsafe conditions and/or incidents as they occur.Considers patient’s safety at all times.Transport of specimens, mail, medical records, and equipment as needed.Assists with transport of admissions, discharges and transfer of patients.Safely transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher.Duties include but are not limited to any other related duties as assigned The Transporter is responsible for providing transportation for patients (infants, children, adolescents, adult, and geriatrics), specimens, mail, medical records, and equipment.
